199C: House of Cards Edition

March 17, 2016

Saturday, April 2, 7 – 11 p.m.
Exhibition dates April 2 through April 30.

The third annual 199C is a collaborative art exhibition and block party celebrating two great achievements: Baseball and the Cincinnati Reds. There are few places on earth where a sport and a team are so beloved by a community. 199C celebrates this unique atmosphere and draws its name from the Pantone color for Red.

For 199C: House of Cards we dug through childhood collections of our favorite baseball cards to find the greatest inspiration we could think of, the players themselves. Baseball cards featuring Johnny Bench to Pete Rose, Dave Parker to Paul O’Neill were sent to the 40+ artists in the show and serve as the inspiration for the artwork they create.

The festivities continue outside on Pike Street, where our friends from Folk School Coffee Parlor & Renaissance Covington have planned an evening of live music and entertainment along with tasty beverages and eats by local Covington businesses.

Stay tuned, full event details coming soon! Read full press release here.
